This weeks guest the newly formed Texpats … originally from Austin they are now in Nashville representing the Texas sound and touring this summer with a stop in Mckinney at ManeGait’s Country Fair and my Hippiefest Sat May 30th. Texpats made up of @Grace Pettis, Natalie Price & Rachel Laven are a powerhouse of vocals and songwriting. Each with solo careers they’re coming together to create a melding of proficient harmonies that will move you and have you yearning for more.

Sour Bridges

Addison Johnson

Addison Johnson came on my radar after playing a show with Courtney Patton here in Texas, so I snagged him for an interview on the road. He just released his single “Flames” which I love- and we’re debuting his next single “ What’s left of me” here first - and he starts his May tour of the same name. I dig his writing and you will too. I can’t wait to see him live back in Texas soon - but till then share his schedule with your friends on this tour across the country.

He’s not from Texas- but he tells me he try’s to get here as much as he can. ( must be about a girl )

Andrea Magee , my next guest holds a special place in my heart for SO many reasons. Her journey from her homeland of Belfast brought her here in 2014 to make a mark in Austin’s music scene, however that’s only the beginning. The founder of Music Helps connecting musicians with “ at- risk youth” and then the director of the “She Rises Fest ” that celebrates women in music and the arts, you can see how I’m completely enamored with her passionate soul. She’s also a part of the super group Paack with fellow female artists. Her newest album “Wild Women” is set to release May 2nd. Listen this week to find out why WE all need Andrea’s in our life.
