It’s a big week for Texas Music.. and especially my hometown of Historic Downtown McKinney! My guest this week is Troy Paff - director, writer and producer of @TMRfest.com/documentary coming out on streaming the same day as our festival downtown McKinney June 5th and 6th

There are six outdoor stages and a plethora of red dirt, Americana, outlaw country blues and rock and soul gracing those stages.

However the big news here is the documentary to be seen ALL across the country. It sheds such a great light on our community and after making the tour with the film festival circuit, we saw firsthand the excitement it brought to the moviegoers to visit our hidden gem of a town.

He just released his single “Flames” which I love- and we’re debuting his next single “ What’s left of me” here first - and he starts his May tour of the same name. Andrea Magee , my next guest holds a special place in my heart for SO many reasons. Her journey from her homeland of Belfast brought her here in 2014 to make a mark in Austin’s music scene, however that’s only the beginning. The founder of Music Helps connecting musicians with “ at- risk youth” and then the director of the “She Rises Fest ” that celebrates women in music and the arts, you can see how I’m completely enamored with her passionate soul.
